Tbilisi Artists unite for Charity: Cat Festival on March 23, 2024

While Catebi Markets are already well-known ways to support our volunteer funds used for stray cats sterilization and adoption, this March together with the Tbilisi Cat rescue team we did something unique.

The largest Cat Festival to date was led by local artists on March 23, 2024 in C’Mon C’Mon space in Tbilisi. By exhibiting and selling their original artworks and authors’ merchandise, they provided 30% of their sales and the extensive reach via their audience to help our struggling animal friends. You could find paintings, ceramics, artistic embroidery and prints, and so much more!

We all know about the catastrophic situation with the stray animals in Georgia, so Catebi volunteers chose the “sterilize and release” approach to help control the situation. Our fellow artists like Holly Haurelia, Krivvika, Clay x Cutie, Suli da Guli provided their works to the market and created a lovely and friendly atmosphere for guests. Not only could visitors enjoy the art and talk to the creators, visit the tattoo corner, listen to lectures – but also meet the real cats!

A special part of the event was dedicated to the fostered cats ready for adoption, and a couple of them are now riding to their new homes! The space was full of guests this time, and we are sincerely grateful for our creative community that united artists from Georgia, Ukraine, Russia and Belarus to give the street cats a chance to have a better future!

If you want to enjoy the creators’ works and keep in touch, see the list of participants here and here.
