Pet Adoption Agreement

This Pet Adoption Agreement («Agreement») is entered into on this ___ day of ____________, 20___, («Effective Date»), between the Old Owner, whose details are provided below, hereinafter referred to as the «Old Owner,» and the New Owner, whose details are also provided below, hereinafter referred to as the «New Owner.»

Terms and Conditions:

1. Adoption: The Old Owner agrees to transfer ownership of the above-mentioned cat to the New Owner free of charge.

2. Sterilisation: The New Owner agrees to have the cat sterilised within [insert timeframe, e.g., 60 days] of the Effective Date. Proof of sterilisation must be provided to the Old Owner.

3. Vaccination: The New Owner agrees to provide the cat with regular vaccinations. The cat should receive vaccinations at least once a year. The New Owner shall maintain a vaccination record and provide proof of vaccination upon request.

4. Deworming: The New Owner agrees to deworm the cat every three (3) months. Records of deworming treatments must be maintained and provided upon request.

5. Home Safety: The New Owner agrees to take necessary precautions to ensure the cat’s safety within the home. This includes installing protective nets on all windows and balconies to prevent the cat from falling or escaping.

6. Outdoor Access: The New Owner agrees not to allow the cat access to the street or any unsupervised outdoor areas. The cat should be kept indoors or in a secure, enclosed outdoor area at all times.

7. Ownership Transfer: The Old Owner transfers full ownership of the cat to the New Owner upon signing this Agreement.

8. Emergency Contact: The New Owner shall provide the Old Owner with their current contact information and notify the Old Owner of any changes in contact details promptly.

9. Return Policy: If, for any reason, the New Owner is unable to continue caring for the cat, they agree to return the cat to the Old Owner. The New Owner shall not rehome or surrender the cat to a shelter or leave the cat on the street without the Old Owner’s consent.

General Provisions:

10. Governing Law: This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Georgia.

11. Entire Agreement: This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the Old Owner and the New Owner regarding the cat and supersedes all prior agreements, whether written or oral.

12. Amendment: Any changes to this Agreement must be made in writing and signed by both parties.

13. Responsibility of the parties: The parties are responsible for non-fulfillment or improper fulfillment of obligations under this agreement, in accordance with the laws of Georgia and the terms of this agreement.
